accendo studio makes spaces that uplift the spirit and bring us closer to the natural environment. I am inspired by both built and natural environments and how these two interact and transform one another. In the practice of architecture and photography, observation and listening are key skills that I have worked hard to hone over the past 20-years. I have learned to see both the built and natural separately and as one . The natural environment as form-giver to the man-made and How elements such as water, sun, humidity, wind, temperature, and time transform the built environment. My work seeks to explore these relationships between the built environment and the natural. These influences culminate in spaces that are responsive to the needs of the client and enhance the buildings relationship with the natural world. i believe architecture should not only be physical shelter, but also provide shelter for the soul, conveying beauty and blurring the distinction between the built and natural.
